Run, Walk or Cycle for #TeamSF

We have a vision of the world where every congenital heart condition is treatable and patients live full and happy lives.

#TeamSF is taking part in events to help many incredible people. People born with a heart condition, many who have battled throughout their whole lives to stay alive, fighting infections and illnesses, enduring surgery, after surgery, not knowing whether today will be their last. Their families and friends struggle to cope with the unknown, and tragically some of their loved ones lose their fight for life.

The Somerville Foundation supports them all, with daily help through difficult times, both mental, emotional and physical, and you can too.

In 2017, we have had an amazing team, including Anna Borghesani who ran her fourth marathon for us and raised £800 and Pauline Measor, one of our long standing members, who walked up Roseberry Topping in North Yorkshire and raised £240. You can read about them and their adventures here.

Helen Witt and her family walked the South West Coast Path, Paul Simpson and John Savage ran the Stirling Marathon, Belinda Dawson took on the Ironman Denmark 2017 and the wonderful Michelle Embleton ran in the five different events, including the Great North Run.

Incredibly, of the eight members who took part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon, five of those runners had a congenital heart condition: Jon Baines, Victoria Goldsmith, Caroline Lansdown, Phillipa Staddon & Erica Watts.

We are incredibly grateful for all the time, hard work and effort every one has put into fundraising. Thank you very much.

You too can join #TeamSF in a charity event of your choice and help to improve the lives of many incredible people.
