Our hugely valuable team of volunteers are at the heart of The Somerville Foundation. Our volunteers help us reach more heart patients than we could possibly achieve without their support, and we are very grateful for the gift of their time. We believe that volunteering brings huge benefit to our patients, staff and volunteers themselves, as well as bringing us together as a community to support one-another.

We have volunteer opportunities not only at our office in Ipswich, Suffolk, but also across the UK. You can choose to help from the comfort of your own home, in your local community or at events.

The Somerville Foundation is keen to recruit a diverse pool of volunteers and we have a growing variety of opportunities to get involved with. Take a look at our volunteer roles below to find out how you can use you time, skills and enthusiasm to help.

If you’d like know more about the volunteering roles below please contact Helen on 01473 252007 or email

We look forward to hearing from you!
